Description
This beautiful 1967 Ford Mustang was built as a 289 fastback, and it was acquired as a disassembled project in 2002. It was subsequently mounted on a rotisserie, bead blasted, modified, and professional refinished. In 2020, the 390ci FE V8 was rebuilt by Paragon Engines with an Eagle crankshaft and connecting rods, King bearings, Racetec pistons, and a COMP Cams camshaft for a reported displacement of 417ci. The engine is topped by a 800cfm Holley carburetor. Exhaust via Hooker Long-Tube Headers. A Fuel Safe fuel cell and a Tremec TKO five-speed manual were installed as well. Power is distributed via a limited-slip differential with 3.00 gears, 3.5 pumpkin included. Frame reinforced to prevent the car from bending under the engines torque. The car rides on Weld wheels and has four-wheel discs and power steering, and inside is a roll bar, 2 race-style bucket seats, 5 point harnesses, extra gauges, and a retro-look radio. Rear bench seat deleted to allow for more driver and passenger leg room. This Mustang fastback has a clean Tennessee title.

The car was acquired as a disassembled project in 2002, and over the next several years it was modified and refinished. The wheel arches have been flared, a California Special-type trunk lid and Shelby-style rear lights were installed, and up front are grille lights and a functional shaker hood scoop. In 2022 a dent was repaired on the left door and a scratch was repaired on the right-rear quarter panel.

The car has four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, and rear air shocks. Staggered Cooper Cobra tires are mounted on the 15″ Weld Racing wheels.

The power window controls are mounted in the center console, and a retro-look radio is linked to kick panel-mounted speakers.

An aftermarket steering wheel and tilt column have been installed. Auxiliary gauges are mounted until the dashboard. The odometer reads ~83k miles which is not accurate, it’s been driven ~2k miles.
